Tara McDonald is an Emmy Award winning Irish Makeup & Hair Designer based in the UK.
In 2023 Tara won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Contemporary Makeup’ for her makeup designs on the hit Netflix show WEDNESDAY. She also received a BAFTA nomination in ‘Best Hair & Makeup Design’ and a Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Guild Award nomination in ‘Best Period and/or Character Makeup’ for her work on the show. A further win was announced at The Online Film and Television Awards in ‘Best Makeup’ for the team.
Film credits include JOY, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, The Phantom Of The Open, Blithe Spirit, Greed, Dad’s Army, Submarine, King Of Thieves, Ginger & Rosa and My Summer of Love.
Recent TV credits include Wednesday, Black Mirror: Season 6, Roadkill, Stephen Poliakoff’s Summer Of Rockets and Close To the Enemy.
Tara has recently wrapped on Nick Cave’s The Death of Bunny Munro for Sky Atlantic/ Clerkenwell Films.
Tara is currently filming & SONS an independent British feature film with Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton and Noah Jupe.
